Flat plan of front cover and explanation

I have chosen to design this flat plan of my front cover because it follows the standard of a typical magazine. It has the basic title along the top, pugs, cover lines and banners at the side and at the bottom and the barcode at the bottom too. Following the standard magazine type, it means that it's easy for the audience to read. However, the colours, the cover lines and the masthead will all make my magazine original and unique which will attract the audience' attention. My background image will be the main focus of the magazine. This is because I want my magazine to follow a simple layout, yet I will ensure that the picture is enough to attract the audience' attention so that it stands out from other magazines.
